2009 Fisher Lake Kids Derby

Wolf Pack sent it's Educational Guides and equipment to fish with the kids. Jiffy Ice Skimmer / chisels were handed out to every kid that participated in the derby!
Wolf Pack brought the luxurious Frabill R2-Tec Ice Shelter with padded seats and thermal frabric with Thinsulate and a Jiffy 2HP Stealth STX Pro ice drill that cut our holes effortlessly! We also had our Lowrance Ice Machine that we demonstrated at each hole -- showing kids how to track their bait, then watch fish come off the bottom, then BAM! Fish on.
We had a full complement of Frabill Ultra Ice Rods loaded in our Sit-n-Fish pales. We'd simply go from hole to hole and get the kids fishing!

These two ladies used the Frabill rod and Lowarance Ice Machine to locate the "bite".

Wolf Pack Youth Guide Emilio (11yrs old) explains the Lowarance graph, and the principals of using a graph while presenting a bait and finding fish!
Here Emilio baits the small jig with a "mousie" for this young lady particpant.

Wolf Pack Youth Guide Emilio spent time with this mother / son as this was their first exposure to ice fishing! He explained the Frabill rod, how to hold it, the jig we were using, the bait we put on, and how to use the Lowrance like a "video game" to find and catch fish! Emilio eventually moved the two over to the Frabill R2-Tec to further show them that ice fishing can be very comfortable! (Note the two Frabill Pro-Thermals in the background...eventually we had a flag)

Emilio going from hole to hole to answer questions and re-bait as needed.

This first time ice fisher-girl landed the winning 16" Northern (released). We had two Frabill Pro-Thermal Tip-ups set for Northerns. This Frabill did it's job and sucessfully introduced this young lady to the world of ice fishing!
Wolf Pack Youth Guide Emilio and Frabill Pro Thermal combined to give Cassie an ice fishing experience to remember!

Thanks to the efforts of the Commonwealth Sports Club, Franklin Trophies, the First National Bank of Niagara, and RMG Trucking all particpants received Trophies. The top three Kid's Derby winners also received a Savings Bond and cash! Here is the 3rd Place Winner (Perch).
2nd Place winner (Perch)

1st Place winner (Northern)

Look at the surprise on her face when she realizes she is also getting the Savings Bond and cash!
Way to go ladies! 1st, 2nd, 3rd. We enjoyed fishing with you.
This is the future generation of our outdoors.

Some other participants that got trophies for fishing in the kids derby...everyone wins! This is tomorrow's hope for the outdoor sports.
All these youth are embedding this fishing tradition into their memories. Thanks to the parents that bring them, thanks to the organizations that support them, and thanks to the community that nurtures them!
Boys, girls, it didn't matter the size or age...these kids gave it there all and were recognized for it.
This little lady waited patiently until she was called.....
....and with the sweetest "Thank You" she was now a winner!
Todd Patterson and Emilio take some time by the fire for hot chocolate and comraderie!

Todd and Sean -- Commonwealth Sportsmen Club and derby organizers. A great debt of gratitude goes out to you for spearheading events like this. Some people talk about the future of outdoor sports...you guys represent action for the future!
Well, folks, were all done. I thought you might like a glimpse at one local's resoucefulness in transporting his "ATV".
Saturday morning and the Wolf Pack was treated to a great breakfast at Barb's Cafe. HUUUGE breakfast sandwiches....held me 'till lunch.
Another supporter of the Wolf Pack mission during the Fisher Lake derby was Florence Spport and Bait!
I was amazed when I stepped inside and found the amount of hunting and fishing equipment.
They have hard water and soft water bait....jigs, line, and the equipment. Plus they have a good selection of live bait from minnows to waxies & spikes.

We stopped in to visit with our friends at Black Bear Inn. When you are in Florence, stop in and tell them Wolf Pack sent ya!
This year we were treated to dinner at Dina Mia's Supper Club. It's roomy inside and they have great food. We had the Friday Fish specials and loved them! The service is great and you feel welcome from the time you stop in!

Saturday we were treated to the Sirloin..... the steaks were large and had pefect marbling for tons of flavor! I've eaten steak from coast to coast and border to border...this steak's flavor tranked in the top 10 for me! Thank you for the awesome meal. Emilio says HI to Janese!

Wolf Pack Wallhangers

Some may think it's too cold out to run into monsters, but Wolf Pack found one! This perch was 13 inches long and weighed in close to 2 pounds! It was caught by a first timer on the ice but with the help of expertise from the Wolf Pack, this perch has the angler hooked!! The fish represents another person that has a lifelong memory to tell thanks to a Wolf Pack adventure.

Sun goes down as another beautiful day on the ice comes to a close. With the power of a Polaris ATV and the smooth glide tracks on the base of a Frabill, it makes for an easy ride home.

Look at all the gear! Wolf Pack has enough supplies to support groups up to 30 people! With all top of the line gear from Frabill, Jiffy, Lowrance, Polaris, Coleman, a hot lunch provided by Miesfelds, a steaming cup of Torke Coffee, and first class accomedations from Wild Eagle Lodge, an adventure like this can't be beat.

We are all over Eagle River and are able to spread out to stay on the hot bite. With the help of some active bluegills, perch, walleyes, and northerns the rods were constantly bent and the flags were standing tall and whipping in the wind!

Get out the frying pan and ring the dinner bell! Perch up to 13inches, Walleyes up to 19inches, and some hand size bluegills can be a table setter for everyone who runs with The Pack! Its as easy as 920-918-9653 to feed yourself a meal like this!

Eagle River Ice Fishing Extravaganza

It was a frigid -20 degrees but the Frabill's were on FIRE!!! Up above was one of the nice walleyes that came through the ice this afternoon. The perch below wasn't big but the expression on this clients face proves the excitement of a Wolf Pack Adventure.

They dont have ice fishing where this Texan comes from but with the aid of the Wolf Pack guides this warm weather fisherman is now hooked on ice fishing!
The group huddles around to see what is coming out of the hole this time. Perch, walleye, and northerns kept us guessing all day as they schooled up together to keep the flags flying.

Another nice northern pike that cudn't resist pulling the string of a Frabill. This one thought he could out smart this angler but he lost! Fish fry anyone??

The Sno Suit provides unbelievable warmth in the frigid cold ice fishing brings. Its waterproof outer layer and knee pads make getting the flags much more comfortable. Good thing for the Miesfelds meat, since the fish that tripped this flag robbed the minnow. If only the fish knew how a fresh off the grill miesfelds brat tastes!

The ice fishing continues to be active so get on the horn with the Wolf Pack!

Flying Flags and Screaming Drags

This family above was on the Sheboygan Marina for a little Christmas gift from the wife and mom and the gift of expertise from us at the Wolf Pack. Mother Natures gift gave them this northern pike that was fooled by a shiner rigged on a Frabill Pro Termal tip up! It doesn't have to be Christmas to give a Wolf Pack gift certificate, so when in need of something for a loved one don't hesitate to get the gift of a lifetime!
When conditions aren't ideal to be fishing outside don't resort to your couch. With comfy padded seats and an insulated canvas, Frabill's R2 Tec will have you catching fish in any weather! Wolf Pack has them, so come test them out and you won't be disappointed!!
The ice rigger was on fire today landing a nice mix of white bass and perch. With the light action tension clip and a sensitive Frabill rod, this set up made for another productive day on the ice for Wolf Pack guides Pat and Greg.

Here is a shot of Captain Greg with the two biggest white bass of the day. With the help of our knowledge and tips from lake-link.com, we were on the fish all day!

A nice pike from the sheboygan marina. Pike and trout have have had the flags flying and the cameras snapping.

The Fillet King board made it a breeze to clean this batch of crappies. The non skip board and no mess clean up makes this board one of a kind. There is no easier way to prepare a meal like this.

Without the sensitive spring bobber on the new Frabill Bro Series Panfish rod, they would have never end up in the frying pan! Wolf Pack has plenty of openings for your adventure yet this winter so give us a call and we will get you on the ice!

It was bitter cold this day but with the Frabill Pro Thermal doing its job to not allow the hole to freeze, this pike was able to make himself famous in the never ending Wolf Pack photo gallery. Pike have been very active and there is nothing like a good workout running to flags with us all day!
