Woman on Winnebago

Well we are back from a week filled of media and woman! We were lucky enough to take part in the Woman on Winnebago event the past weekend out of Fond du lac!
None of the ladies in the event were lucky enough to spear a sturgeon but here is a shot of someone who was!
A big thanks goes out to Wendt's on the Lake for the shack rentals and a great lunch on Sunday.
A Kodak moment brought to you by Frabill.
In the afternoons, We guided the woman on the Winnebago system! Here is a big gill that guide Greg pulled out while scouting! The chartruse majmun jig from Custom Jigs and Spins was the ticket for these fish.
Frabill pro and Professional walleye angler Marianne Huskey takes a turn at cutting a sturgeon hole!
Throughout the few days too we did some filming with the guys from Custom Jigs and Spins for product promotion on Midwest Outdoors. Here is Walt Matan with a nice perch!
Another participant of the WOW event takes her shot at cutting a sturgeon hole.
Carrie from the convention of visitors bureau in Fond du lac cuts a sturgeon hole! These ice saws carry a 4 foot long blade!
Barb Carey of Wisconsin Woman Fish pulled this nice gill!

Guide Greg and Poppee Matan with their morning film catch! Watch these episodes next winter!

The fish are still active and ice is in great shape with some more cold temperatures coming this weekend. The ice should last awhile and panfshing should remain hot for many more weeks! We are on them so lets get some in your pail!

We were up in our eagle river area guiding this past weekend. Warm temps made for some good fishing weather to stay mobile to get on some really nice fish.
The fishing was so good the Frabill snowman even got in on the action.
A bunch of nice crappies were found working the weed edges in the afternoons!
Can't read the tape in the picture that well but the fish measured out at 14 inches. A true slab!
Here is Amanda with her first ever walleye! What a great start on her walleye board as this fish measured out at 23 inches.
Another big crappie pictured with the Frabill rod that took it!
Amanda and Kyle got a nice meal of bluegills, crappies, and perch along with a walleye.
Welcome to Hiawatha lodge. Its our new home in Eagle River. Nice northwoods style rooms, continental breakfast, and a group area with a movie theater and pool table!
Another nice crappie caught on a Northland Forage minnow!
Here is Wolf Pack guide Greg with a fish he caught while fishing with the customers. This fish measured out at a whopping 14.5" and is going to look beautiful on his wall! A true trophy!
Here is Kyle with a big 13 inch crappie!

With this winters crazy weather, there is still lots of good safe ice at our locations. We have a good solid month of game fish season to go and some late ice panfish in march as long as conditions allow. Come get in on this action!

Fox Lake Crappie

If this kind of scenery doesn't get you excited to get on the ice, its just not in your blood!
Another sunrise shot. The crappies have been on a feeding frenzy!
The pile is just getting started! Nothing better than a fish fry coming from these frigid waters!
Another for the pile and the Humminbird Ice 55 has more down there waiting!
Ice conditions are great and continue to get better!
Whether your destination is fox lake area or eagle river area we are on some good bites! Come find out for yourself and get your Kodak moment on this report page!

Alltec Group

First off we would like to thank the group of 16 people from Alltec who fished with us the last few days! The weather was great one day and chased us off the ice half way through the second day!
The bluegills continue to be tricked by the Frabill 241 straight line combo! Takes a little lesson to get the hang of the reel to most newbies but that's what we are here to do! A learning experience along with a memory.
A perfect example of a lesson! This client pictured was on ice for the first time. A short lesson on how to jig with the straight line and he iced this beauty 12 inch crappie! After an hour he had 5 other nice bluegills hanging out with that crappie in his pail.
The game fishing was slow for us this passed weekend but this pike was one of the few we got!
The perch were the biggest tip up flag flyers of the weekend! This fat 13 incher was fooled by the smooth spool of the Frabill Pro Thermal!
The new rhino 700 from Yamaha! The power is unmatched from this machine! Its loaded up and ready to get the customers on the ice!
The headquarters brought to you by Frabill! These hub style shelters make a great basecamp and a big area to fish a group of anglers together while keeping the warm!!
More Yamaha power!! All the gear, two transport sleds, three people, and 10 Frabill Commandos didn't even get close to halting the movement of the rhino!
One of the days haul by Alltec! A big mess of bluegills with some perch, crappie, walleye, and a pike mixed in! Talk about a fish fry.

Good bites in Eagle River and Fox Lake right now! Don't hesitate get on the ice with us today!!

2013 ice season in full swing

Panfish have been on the prowl this early ice season. Here is a bluegll with a new chekai from Custom Jigs and Spins in his lips! We are filled up with these new hot tungsten jigs to fill up the Frabill Sit N Fish's.

A beautiful male bluegill! This one chomped on the new Fireball tungsten jig by Northland Tackle. Whatever jig the fish want each day you can be sure its in our arsenal!
Some nice crappie have also been showing their aggressiveness in the low light periods of the day making for an exciting start and finish to the fishing day!
Another bull gill shown with the new Frabill straightline 241 that all customers will see in their hands this season!
The revolution of these reels in the ice fishing world applies a fun fight and is so affective as it takes away the spinning of your jig like when using a spinning reel. Once again Frabill has our customers in the best position to catch fish!
Here is a customer shown with one of the 241 straightlines and a nice bluegill as the sun comes up on the lake!
The ice is here to stay and the fish are awaiting you all! We have dates available at all our locations so get on the phone and book your adventure today!!

With freezing temps and some ice starting to form we are getting amped up for another hardwater season. Lots of new gear to be showcased this year in the hands of the Wolf Pack customers. Below is the original straight line combo. There is another straight line called the 241. These combos put the anglers a step ahead of the fish and all the other fisherman on the ice. The final new combo we will be showcasing is the jiggler series. A stealthy approach when we are fishing panfish in waters of 6 feet or less. We will keep you updated as to when the ice is safe enough to come fish.

Come check out Pat this weekend in St Paul,Mn at the ice show event or next weekend in Wausau, Wi for another ice event. Hope for some consistent freezing temps so we can get this ice season on the road!!!

Little bit of a lull in the guiding world but that doesn't mean that we aren't busy here at the wolf pack. Its the prep of the ice fishing season beginning with going through the old equipment and making the orders for all the new gear! That's one of the best things about fishing with us is you are always using new equipment especially with the best on the market. Also we are in the start of the sport show season. We will be all over the midwest so check out a sport show and lets get you booked to get on the ice. If you missed Wolf Pack on Midwest Outdoors TV, check it out at the link below!  Fall is in full swing! Check out this shot, two geese and two bands!!
As more rain falls, these steelhead will make themselves more visable up in the rivers eating on salmon eggs. A great addition to the many big kings tearing up the river
The fish is nice but take a look at the backdrop that you get to experience while fishing with for these bruisers. The fall colors have been in full swing.
This flat fish got destroyed by this spawning male. Baits like these piss these fish off and its a sight fishing experience everyone should embark on.

The fall fishing should continue on for another two weeks. The coho run hasn't started yet but with lots of rain in the forecast this weekend they should be entering our play zone soon!!
